Предисловие

Данный сборник контрольных работ по английскому языку предназначен для студентов заочной формы обучения факультета прикладной информатики, обучающихся по специальностям «Информационные системы и технологии»,

«Прикладная информатика в экономике», «Бизнес-информатика».

Сборник включает контрольную работу № 1 и контрольную работу № 2: в контрольной работе №1 четыре варианта заданий, в контрольной работе №2 – три варианта. Каждый вариант контрольной работы – это комплекс заданий, включающих грамматические и лексические тесты.

Для выполнения контрольной работы №1 необходимо повторить следующие разделы грамматики английского языка: спряжение глаголов to be и to have, а также других основных глаголов в разных временных формах, модальные глаголы и их эквиваленты, употребление предлогов, прилагательные и степени сравнения прилагательных.

В текстах для перевода и тестах содержится лексика по специальной тематике, изучаемой на факультете прикладной информатики.

В качестве текстов для чтения по специальности в контрольной работе № 1 предложены следующие темы: «Выбор персонального компьютера», «Устройства хранения информации», «Центральный процессор» и «Шины». Послетекстовые задания предназначены для развития у студентов заочников навыков ознакомительного и аналитического чтения.

Для выполнения контрольной работы №2 необходимо повторить следующие разделы грамматики английского языка: спряжение глаголов to be и to have,а также других основных глаголов в разных временных формах, включая страдательный залог, перевод неличных форм глагола (инфинитива и причастия).

В качестве текстов для чтения по специальности в контрольной работе №2 предложены следующие темы: «Структура Интернет» и «Профессии в сфере информационных систем и технологий».

Контрольные работы выполняются студентами-заочниками самостоятельно, но после предварительной подготовительной работы под руководством преподавателя.

Тексты для перевода и отработки навыков ознакомительного и аналитического чтения заимствованы из современной литературы по данной специальности.

CONTROL WORK №1

I variant

Task 1

Употребите глагол to be в нужной форме ( am, is, are, was, were, will/shall be ) и переведите предложения на русский язык.

Вставьте походящие по смыслу модальные глаголы (can, could, must, may, might) и переведите предложения. Помните, что у модальных глаголов есть заменители (have to, has to, had to, am/is/are to, was/were to), которые придется употребить в некоторых временах.

Task 7

Translate the text. Переведите текст.

How to choose the right computer

1. When you want to buy a personal computer (PC), the first question you must ask yourself is “What will I use it for?” If you are going to use it for studying, for office work, for Internet and for games, may be, you should buy a really powerful modern PC.

2. The power of the computer depends on the speed and the capacity: the speed of the processor and the capacity of the memory and the hard disk.

3. The speed of the processor shows how fast the computer processes data. Speed is usually given in megahertz and gigahertz. The faster the processor, the more powerful the computer.

4. The capacity shows how much storage space there is in the computer. The capacity depends on how much memory there is, how big the hard disk is.

5. There are two types of memory: RAM (Random Access Memory) and ROM (Read Only Memory). We measure RAM and video memory in megabytes. You will also have cache memory in your PC, it is in kilobytes.

6. As for hard disk memory, it is in gigabytes. Always look for the computer with the highest numbers. Remember: the higher the number, the more powerful is the computer.
