3. A) READ THE SENTENCES AND PUT NUMBERS AFTER EACH ACTION TO SHOW THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY HAPPENED: Example: I went to bed (3) after I’d had a bath (1) and brushed my teeth (2). 1. 8. OPEN THE BRACKETS USING: A) PAST PERFECT OR PAST PERFECT PROGRESSIVE: 1. Mary was sitting on the ground. She was out of breath. She (run). 2. When I came home, mother already (cook) dinner. 3. 10. CORRECT THE MISTAKES IF ANY: 1. Tom was tired as he had studied all day. 2. He opened the door and a woman ha been standing there. 3. When I looked out of the window it had been rain. 4. 11. A) YOU RETURNED HOME AFTER MANY YEARS AND FOUND THAT MANY THINGS WERE DIFFERENT. DESCRIBE WHAT HAD HAPPENED. Example: Most of my friends were no longer there.
