Momo: Hohoho, don’t underestimate Momo-chan’s database! I even know what color that CM star’s underwear is.

(1) ya man i can’t handle uber short phrases sometimes and this is one of those times, bUT THANK YOU @riku7se for clarifying!! (and deciphering my incoherent screaming!!!)
(2) peach (momo), apple (ringo) = momorin if you take the first 2 syllables of each word! THATS SO… CUTE… I wanna try this drink so badly you don’t understand how much I love artificial fruit flavors okay.
(3) yuki lowkey gives me a headache because he has such a flowy speaking pattern too? like every part connects and i feel like im committing some capital crime when i chop it off mid-sentence of the original to start a new one because English
(4) yuki actually says 'til daybreak’ bUT…. Let me…… live…… (jk the real reasoning is that this sounds more natural)
(5) uh im out of order and also:^) whats this? A third translation note on yuki? Well yuki is slowly ascending the ranks into 英訳ナイトメア (he’s only halfway up the stairs, while iori and sougo are Up There). ANYWAYS i chopped off the first two bits of this sentence into separate clauses because there’s only so many modifiers i can slap on a thing before it starts sounding weirD. Also, when did it become 1:30 am.
ps i think yuki’s voice triggers like an ASMR kind of reaction in me because i get the head tingles every time he opens his mouth no joke… bless cv tachibana shinnosuke…………
GODDAMN RE:V IS SO CUTE, I cannot Wait to see them interact with trigger!!!!!

Yuki: The performers for the second day haven’t been decided yet. How about taking it on?
Nanase Riku: Reopening Zero Arena, with TRIGGER and Re:vale!? I want to do it!
Yuki: Then spin around once and say 'woof.’
Nanase Riku: Huh?

Yotsuba Tamaki: I don’t really know, but Re:vale are really good people. They did say they’d push for us, so.

UR DAILY SHOUTOUT TO @kuriiii 4 CHEKCING OVER MY EIGO, and also subbing, and overall being A++++++++ Roommate

(1) Yuki spoke this line and suddenly I had war flashbacks to 2014 and my nonstop cramming for jbowl, and one of the sections was kotowaza and you betcha one of the kotowaza was this one iirc and m n n n n n n. Anyways, what I have up there is the literal translation of it because Yuki doesn’t recite the regular old version (出る杭は打たれる), he actually modifies it a bit to apply it more towards the situation, namely IDOLiSH7 standing out as of late because of their!!! wonderful!!! achievements.
Alright…. Where to start. First, this idiom/kotowaza basically means “if you stick out, you’ll only invite trouble for yourself” since there’s a lot to be said about uniformity and fitting in in Japanese society and etcetc but that’s another thing and another class that i’ll probably have to take next year ish if i want to minor in japanese (who knows!!!).
tl;dr i7’s sticking out like a sore thumb (in a good way) or 'stake’ as the saying goes, and the only way 2 cure this sticking-out-ness is to HAMMER IT INTO THE GROUND. hence why yuki says to HAMMER THEM IN ASAP.
all of this is very good-natured joking though!! but who knows…… you never know with this series……
(2) AYYYYEEE YYYOO Yep, this is the chapter title and also one of Yuki’s PV lines, but in the interest of Space and Smoothness i shortened the chapter title to just “Climb Up”……. I can almost see it… That dream I’m dreaming……. when did it become 4:30 am…. also briefly considered GET ON OUR LEVEL and GIT GUD (okay not that second one) but ‘oide’ has a really gentle ring to it so it’s not quite re:v looking down at i7, but more like they’re a few feet up and waiting for i7 to climb up/catch up and stand side by side with them!! that’s the feeling i was going for, or that’s the feeling that i’m getting from this (did i mention i love yuki????)
(3) just a general note but there are a few lines here and there that I p much localize (i know thats kind of a ~dirty word~ thanks to fe:fates lmao but really all it means it putting it in more of a native-english-speaker-y way), and Holy Hell Keigo Kills Shiroi. I see the words よろしく and im already beginning to lie down. my hairline recedes. i cannot Deal With This 4-7 times in succession.
(4) G A K U R A N. Alright if you don’t know what a gakuran is, your best bet is to google image it. But point is, it’s generally worn by middle school boys, and also high school iirc. SO CHANCES ARE Yuki first met yamato like up to 10 years ago. And yamato had a pretty intense attitude back then, probably was into MCR or smth back then.
“Staff: Ahahaha!” Is the stuff of nightmares to me oh my god…………… Each time i typed it i just imagined The Big Bang Theory without the laughtrack and i ….
