Как научить ребенка говорить по-английски

Вступление

 

Мы начинаем практический курс обучения родителей «Как научить ребенка говорить по-английски». Курс рассчитан на родителей, не владеющих языком в совершенстве и поэтому не имеющих возможности создать в семье условия искусственного билингвизма. А так же на родителей, начинающих изучать язык и желающих обучить ему своего ребенка. Однако, Вы должны уметь читать по-английски; еще одним непременным условием является безупречное (или, по меньшей мере, очень хорошее) произношение.

Обучение по предлагаемой методике строится в виде занятий. Хотя определение «занятие» является скорее условным, чем отвечающим реальному положению вещей. Ведь в действительности получается, что язык оказывается естественно вкраплённым в повседневную жизнь ребенка. И все-таки для удобства мы будем использовать слово «занятие».

Мы предлагаем четыре вида занятий: один основной и три вспомогательных.
Основной вид занятий - «Ситуативное общение». Эти занятия подразумевают общение с ребенком по-английски в заранее определенных ситуациях (режимных моментах).
Ребенка до года можно сразу «погружать» в ситуацию, т.е. говорить по-английски во время всего режимного момента или игровой ситуации от начала до конца. Дети постарше часто начинают протестовать, когда мама вдруг начинает говорить по-другому. Поэтому, вначале можно ограничиться называнием предметов и действий по-английски, постепенно заменяя английскими все больше русских слов и выражений. Предложите ребенку поиграть, например, позавтракать по-английски, или по-английски лечь спать. Если с детьми до года мы можем просто говорить в выбранной ситуации по-английски, насколько нам позволит наш словарный запас, то с детьми постарше нужно закреплять ту лексику, которую вы вводите. Например, попросите ребенка показать вам то, что вы называете (show me…) или подать вам что-нибудь (give me…) и т.д.

Первый вспомогательный вид занятий - «Аудирование». Название опять условное, а занятия подразумевают с л ы ш а н и е ребенком английской речи. Т. е. это не занятия как таковые - Вы просто включаете для ребенка запись английской речи. Это и песни, и диалоги, и мультфильмы и художественные фильмы на английском языке. Только отнеситесь внимательней к тематике фильмов и мультфильмов, которые вы собираетесь предложить ребенку, и к используемой в них лексике. Ведь язык имеет, кроме прочих, развивающую функцию, посредством языка передаются эмоции, поэтому агрессивные фильмы не подходят. Постарайтесь, по возможности, каждый день обеспечивать ребенку контакт с английской речью кроме основных занятий, так мы хотя бы немного компенсируем отсутствие среды.
Два оставшихся вида вспомогательных занятий мы рассмотрим позднее, по мере их включения в процесс обучения ребенка.

 

 

Урок 1
Ложимся спать по-английски

 

Предлагаем начать с ситуации «ложимся спать». В это время маме и малышу обычно никто не мешает, да и последняя перед сном информация, по мнению психологов, усваивается лучше всего (как, кстати, и первая после пробуждения).
Вам в помощь предлагается небольшой словарик, содержащий слова и выражения для этой ситуации. Этого достаточно на первое время, но не ограничивайтесь использованием только этой лексики, добавляйте всё, что вы знаете, слышали, всё, что вам удастся найти.
Урок рассчитан примерно на 2-3 недели, за это время ребенок привыкает к звучанию английской речи, и Вы начинаете чувствовать себя более-менее свободно, общаясь с малышом по-английски. На протяжении этого времени старайтесь укладывать ребенка спать только по-английски, не переходя (полностью) на русский язык. Через 2-3 недели (а возможно, Вам потребуется больше времени) можно чередовать в данной ситуации английский и русский языки.
Тогда же можно приступать к уроку 2 "Купаемся по-английски".

В зависимости от вида одеяла это словосочетание будет звучать по-разному:

шерстяное одеяло, плед - blanket

покрывало (то, чем укрываются, м.б. простыня, любое одеяло или плед) - covers
Залезай под одеяло! - Get under covers!
мягкая подушечка – soft pillow
положи головку на подушечку – lay your head down on the pillow
смотри, твой плюшевый мишка спит – look, your teddy-bear is sleeping
твоя удобная кроватка ждет тебя – your cozy cot, is waiting for you

В зависимости от вида кроватки это словосочетание будет звучать по-разному:

кровать - bed

кушетка, раскладушка - cot

детская кроватка (с решеточками) - crib

колыбель - cradle

диван - sofa [или couch (амер.)]

спальный мешок - sleeping bag, slumber bag
сон – dream
уже и мама хочет спать – even your mommy is feeling sleepy

story - любая сказка (например, "Репка").

tale - сказка с феями, принцессами (например, "Золушка").

спать после обеда - to [take a] nap

Урок 3. Зимняя прогулка

 

Прошло еще две недели, вы с малышом научились ложиться спать и купаться по-английски, кстати, мыть ручки и умываться нужно тоже по-английски.
Теперь мы можем взяться за третью ситуацию – ПРОГУЛКА. Прогулки у нас четыре: зимняя, весенняя, летняя и осенняя. Мы начнем с зимней прогулки. Начинать занятие можно с того момента, как вы одеваетесь на прогулку. Если тяжело все сразу, одевайтесь пока на родном языке, а гуляйте по-английски.
Если вдруг обнаружится, что не можете вспомнить нужного слова – переходите на родной язык, английский будет сначала «вкраплён» в вашу речь, но постепенно он должен начать преобладать, и под конец второй недели весь режимный момент вы проводите полностью на английском.
Как быть с предыдущими двумя уроками?
Определите ваши «английские дни», например, понедельник, среда, пятница. В эти дни говорите в «пройденных» ситуациях (купание, умывание и укладывание спать) по-английски, в остальные дни – на родном языке. Новый урок (3) проводите ежедневно, пока полностью не усвоите. Не увлекайтесь общением только по-английски каждый день во всех изученных ситуациях, это можно делать только в том случае, если ребенок достаточно общается на родном языке с другими членами семьи. Помните, что общение на родном языке необходимо ребенку для его развития, английский язык, если вы не знаете его в совершенстве, не сможет удовлетворить всех познавательных потребностей малыша.
«Аудирование» и «Чтение» можно проводить ежедневно, а если каждый день не получается, то лучше в ваши «английские» дни. Не бойтесь предлагать детям одни и те же книжки много раз. Дети любят повторения и готовы бесконечно слушать то, что им нравится, даже если знают уже весь текст наизусть.
Итак, изучив материал урока и поработав со «Словариком», начинайте собираться на «английскую» прогулку. Как действовать, вы уже знаете, если подзабыли, просмотрите урок 1 и урок 2. Вернувшись с прогулки, можно закрепить материал, просмотрев с ребенком книжку про прогулку. Делать это лучше не сразу, а, скажем, вечером, если вы гуляли утром.

Урок 4. Кушаем по-английски

 

Мы уже научились купаться, ложиться спать и гулять по-английски. Уже полтора месяца вы ежедневно общаетесь с малышом в выбранных ситуациях на английском языке. Хочу еще раз напомнить: определите "английские дни", в которые вы будете повторять пройденные уроки. Но новый урок проводите ежедневно, до полного усвоения.
Родители часто задают вопрос: как быть, если ребенок привык слушать сказки (песенки, книжки) на родном языке? Как проводить урок, ведь не лишать же дитя любимого занятия? Конечно же нет! Есть очень простое решение - совмещать любимое занятие с уроком. Например, малышу перед сном читают книжки. Проведите урок (ложимся спать по-английски), поговорите с ребенком, помогите ему переодеться, лечь в кроватку, комментируя свои и его действия на английском языке или просто называя предметы и действия по-английски, пожелайте ему доброй ночи, а затем почитайте на родном языке. Утром не забудьте "проснуться по-английски", закрепляя слова и выражения, которые вы употребляли вечером.
В уроке 4 мы научимся кушать "по-английски". Используйте любую ситуацию, связанную с едой, для занятия. При недостаточном владении языком, начните с простых фраз и ограничьтесь простым названием всего, чем вы пользуетесь во время еды. Когда почувствуете себя более-менее свободно, усложните фразы, добавьте новую лексику. Не забывайте закреплять и тренировать лексику, которую вводите. Например, попросите ребенка: "Give me some bread, please!" или спросите: "Where is your spoon?" или "Show me a plate!" и т.д. Не добивайтесь ответа во что бы то не стало. Если ребенок не отвечает сразу, ответьте и покажите сами, попросите ребенка повторить. Старайтесь избегать ситуаций, в которых ребенок чувствует, что он этого не знает. Наоборот, дайте малышу пережить радость осознания своего успеха, такой положительный опыт, полученный в раннем детстве, во многом определяет способность учиться в дальнейшем.
Работая со "Словариком", особое внимание уделяйте фонетике. Если у вас проблемы с произношением, обратитесь к специалисту или поработайте самостоятельно с учебником по фонетике и записями речи носителей языка. Не приступайте к занятиям, пока не будете уверены, что произносите слова и звуки правильно; от плохого произношения больше вреда, чем пользы. Из предложенной лексики выбирайте то, что вам больше подходит, добавляйте свои выражения, эквивалентные тем, что вы обычно употребляете при общении с ребенком.

Урок 5. Весенняя прогулка

 

Две недели подряд мы кушали "по-английски". Теперь "английские" завтраки, обеды и ужины переместятся в ваши "английские дни". "Английские дни" - очень важная часть обучения. Ею нельзя пренебрегать. Во-первых, потому что это хорошая возможность повторять и закреплять пройденные уроки. Во-вторых, для большинства родителей английский все-таки иностранный, а ребенку для полноценного развития нужно общение на родном языке, поэтому мы и советуем разграничивать два языковых пространства. Постепенно вы придете к тому, что весь "английский день" будете говорить с ребенком по-английски. А пока ежедневно повторяйте новый урок и закрепляйте все, пройденные в "английские дни".
На этом уроке мы поговорим также о третьем виде дополнительных занятий - учебных играх. Учебные игры служат для тренировки и закрепления изученной лексики и грамматических структур. А также служат хорошим средством для перевода лексики из пассивного словарного запаса в активный. Игры вы можете придумать сами или использовать известные вам. Мы будем предлагать игры в качестве примера, а вы подходите творчески: изменяйте их, адаптируйте к вашим условиям, берите то, что вам больше всего подходит.

(для тренировки лексики)

На столе или на полу разложите игрушки, картинки или предметы, названия которых хотите потренировать. Попросите ребенка закрыть глазки: "Close your eyes!". В это время уберите одну игрушку или предмет и скомандуйте: "Open your eyes!". Затем задайте вопрос: "What's missing?". Помогите малышу с ответом, если он забыл слово. Эта игра тренирует также и внимание.
Игры проводятся обычно с опорой на родной язык, поэтому использовать их можно не только в "английские дни".
