1. Any figure bounded (ограниченные) by three straight lines is calleda triangle. Any one of the three lines may be calledthe base, and the line drawn from the angle opposite the base at right angles to it is called the height or altitude of the triangle.

2. If all the three sides of a triangle are of equal length, the triangle is calledequilateral. Each one of the three angles in equilateral triangle equals 60 degrees.
