1. Quality of higher education has stopped being only educational problem but has become one of the main social and economic aspects, which determine the position of the country on the global arena. The level of specialists’ education, their professional competencies as well as creative activity has been acquiring a special priority. The country where there is the better level of specialists’ education will win the competition in the sphere of technique and the economic competition at the global market as well.

2. Information society gave birth to knowledge-based economy, which demands higher level of basic skills and a new content of the professional activity. The official colleges and universities will be only one of the majorities of different sources of information. Internet resources, different models of distant education and other technologies about which we don’t even suspect now will be used in providing a person with valuable information.

3. The new paradigm of education leads to changes in pedagogical conscience. For hundreds of years teachers strived to supply young generations with a scope of knowledge but nowadays they try to develop in them a constant desire in modernizing knowledge, improvement professional skills by means of self-education and self-perfection.

4. Traditional approaches to determining quality of education have become out-dated. Modern society can’t be satisfied with transition of the results of humanity’s historical development in a fixed form. The main aim of higher education is to provide a priority of spiritual personality’s development over its learning of acquired social experience. This idea and the principles of creation of the united educational area became the cornerstones of such international educational documents as UNESCO Reform and Development of Higher Education, European Commission White Paper “Teaching and learning: towards the learning society”, documents of Bologna Agreement and others.

1. A teacher is someone acknowledged as a guide or helper in processes of learning. A teacher’s role may vary between cultures. In modern schools and most contemporary occidental societies, where scientific pedagogy is practiced, the teacher is defined as a specialized profession on the same level as many other professions.

The different ways to teach are often referred to as the teacher’s pedagogy. When deciding what teaching method to use, a teacher will need to consider students’ background knowledge, environment, and their learning objectives.
