Learning outcomes:

After this course students:

- can apply voluntary international environmental standards for waste management system development and waste prevention

- can implement and develop of waste management system in accordance with ISO 14001

- can make the risk assessment of waste management programs and suggest the solutions

- can identify, formulate and analyze the non-conformances related to waste management

- can find a source of waste and suggest the best available technique and best practices to minimize the source of waste or deny it

- can make a feasibility study for the chosen project

 

Competences obtained by students:

- be able to steer the processes of industrial production in a sustainable manner

- be able to make suggestions for further actions

- have skills and competence to develop environmental and sustainability management systems for organizations

Learning outcomes:

Within the duration of the lectures, students will gain an insightful understanding of the standard requirements for an environmental management system that an organization can use to enhance its environmental performance. The aim of the Discipline is to provide basic knowledge about application of ISO 14001 for waste preventionin order to provide value for the environment, the organization itself and interested parties.The presentation of significant case-studies will let the students to achieve professional skills in this field.
