My WORKING DAY (DAILY ROUTINE)

       I am a third -year student of Volgograd College of Economics and Technics. My college trains specialists for various spheres of economic activities. I study at Fire Safety Department.  I am going to be a fire fighter and I am proud to study at this college.

          I usually get up early in the morning, do my morning exercises, dress and have my breakfast. I live not far from the college. At half past 7 I leave my house. It usually takes me fifteen or twenty minutes to get to the college by bus.

Then the lessons begin. They start at 8 a.m. Usually the students have 3 or 4 study periods every day. It means that the lessons are over at three p.m.

To get a good education the students of Fire Safety Department study different subjects of general education. They learn physics, chemistry, history, philosophy, physical training, foreign languages (English or German) and some other subjects.

Our students also learn some special subjects such as electrical engineering, engineering graphics,  tactics of suppression of fires,  rescue works and others.

        They have both lectures and practical lessons. Future fire fighters often visit different fire departments (or fire brigade) in order to get useful  information about fire safety and  have practice. If they study hard they will make good specialists in the field of  fire safety.
