1. Учебная дисциплина, вводящая учащегося в мир инженерных расчетов на прочность и жесткость, носит название сопротивление материалов.

2. К механике твердого деформируемого тела относятся и другие дисциплины, среди которых необходимо в первую очередь назвать теорию упругости.
