The most widespread operating systems and smartphones platforms:

· Android — a platform for smartphones with an open initial code on the basis of Linux, developed OHA (group of companies led by Google).

· iOS — the operating system of the Apple company used in iPhone smartphones.

· BlackBerry OS — devices on this system are widely used generally in the USA as intelligence services of some countries are not interested in use of these smartphones in the country because all entering / outgoing data are ciphered by means of AES. [9] ]

· HP webOS — was announced on January 8, 2009 the Palm Pre smartphone under control of the new Palm webOS OS which kernel is Linux OS. [10] ] From 2010 to 2011 it was supported and developed by the Hewlett-Packard company (as a result of Palm absorption). In September, 2012 of HP has to publish finally in an open entry the initial webOS codes (Open webOS 1.0), thus OS will belong to the category of the open software (as well as Android).

· Bada — own platform of the Samsung company. Smartphones of a line of Samsung Wave are based on it.

· Linux — a wide circulation did not receive, however traditionally are considered as the perspective direction. Smartphones on the basis of Linux are widespread in the basic in Asia. Platforms: Maemo (it is used in Internet tablets of Nokia 770/N810 and the Nokia N900 smartphone), Openmoko (Neo 1973, Neo FreeRunner), MeeGo (Nokia N9).

· Palm OS — once popular platform, now devices on the basis of Palm OS are rare. The last smartphone under control of this operating system was presented at the end of 2007 (Palm Centro).

· Symbian OS — is used mainly in Nokia devices, and also some Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Siemens models.

· Windows Mobile and Windows CE — compact OS of the Microsoft company, is issued since 1996 and occupies a large segment of the OS market for smartphones.

· Windows Phone — the new development of the Microsoft company which is cardinally different from Windows Mobile.

In recent years essential changes happened in the field of production of radio telephones: in 2007 in the market there was iPhone, in 2008 – new model of phone on the basis of the Android operating system. Both innovative models received the general name Smartphones the smartphones which emergence shook the world market of mobile communication.

Since 2000, many producer companies already developed various prototypes of smartphones. For example, for everything the cell phones of the last generation called feature phones which were combined with personal organizers (PDAs) or with small portable computers with the QWERTY keyboard are known. Before emergence of iPhone practically all these radio telephones were simply primitive hybrid devices uniting in functions of cell phones and the personal computer some function. Because of technological restrictions and level of equipment of that period (it concerns, first of all, the cost of the main components, their functionality, characteristics of operating systems (OS), etc.) these hybrid devices had big dimensions, than ordinary cell phones, and their characteristics were much worse than indicators of standard personal computers. Far not they had the best characteristics and as household devices.

However thanks to rapid development of technologies, modern smartphones have not only significantly improved characteristics, but also possess many functions and Internet opportunities. Speaking differently, smartphones become innovative platforms for services and the appendices which are based on the Internet.

Modern models of smartphones allow to consider them as the devices which have been constantly connected to the Internet. It means that they possess features and phone, and the computer. The ordinary cell phone is developed according to architecture of "basic voice and data telecommunications architecture", and upgraded its high quality version (functional phone) possesses a wide range of advanced characteristics. However the traditional closed telephone architecture has very limited structure of the software and interfaces that causes some incompatibility with such open environment as the Internet. If to tell more precisely, existing functional phones are capable to support various services of the Internet, including e-mail, Web Brousing and a number of advanced appendices.

However they were not considered as an element of evolutionary process in the field or as much improved models. It means that functional phone cannot synchronously be updated with Internet evolution after its shipment from manufacturer. As for the personal computer which was used as the standard personal device for connection to the Internet, that, undoubtedly, it possesses higher characteristics, opportunities and similarity to the Internet. Certainly, the personal computer possesses rather high efficiency which corresponds to future evolutionary process only at the expense of modernization of an operating system, but it is too great and heavy in order that the user constantly carried it with himself. Besides, practically there are no such personal computers which 24 hours without battery recharge could work. Latest models of smartphones blocked all weak places of the listed above devices and, besides, began to have new advantages. They have sufficient opportunities for access to any service of the Internet and ability to work the whole day, despite the small sizes.

It is supposed that in an everyday life smartphones will begin to play the main role for access to the World wide web.

The smartphone possesses three main features as the personal Internet device: the modern operating systems providing continuous evolution of functions, characteristics and work with all Internet; unique and intuitive and clear to an interfeysamiya design; provides the most advanced dynamic indicators, that is indicators of time of a response to teams, at the most different types of appendices. One of such smartphones is Sony Xperia TL - the smartphone on the basis of the Android 4.0 version Google Android operating system. developed by the Sony company together with the operator of AT&T.

Let's stop on features of smartphones in more detail.

Operating system. Now in the market the following OS systems are available to smartphones: Android – the Google companies; iOS – the Apple companies; Windows Phone – the Microsoft and Black Berry OS companies – the RIM companies. Thanks to the rigid competition in the market, and also because of continuous and quickly current evolution of technologies, these operating systems for short term were repeatedly modernized, and now they possess high characteristics and functionality.

Interfaces and constructive decisions. Practically all latest models of smartphones have completely touch screens which are settling down on the forward panel. Constantly the number of the devices having a design of a notebook with very big touch screens increases also. One of options of such design – smartphones with QWERTY keyboards. However sooner or later, but the user interfaces which are based on the software become most popular. It will occur thanks to their high flexibility to adaptation and to change-over under various cases of use and the requirement of the user (for example, to change of language, a task, etc.).

Flexible and dynamic environment. Modern smartphones provide Wednesday, dynamic to appendices that allows users to load and establish such number of appendices which is necessary for them. For wider dissemination of appendices in the market main suppliers of the OS platforms – Apple, Google, to Microsoft and RIM – not only offer exclusive development (SDK – Software Development Kits), but also create the specialized markets of appendices for each new model of the smartphone. Developers can create and offer on the market own appendices without carrying out difficult negotiations with distributors and without use of third-party systems of their realization. It becomes much simpler to users of smartphones to receive a large number of unique appendices in every spot on the globe and to adapt them for the needs. Many cell phones of latest models are based on the Java protocol or on especially dynamic environments calculated on use of unique appendices. However smartphones have also the numerous restrictions concerning memory size, functionality of hardware, imperfection of an operating system (OS), interfaces of program applications (APIs), etc.

The technical restrictions given above on existing cell phones complicate process of updating of appendices on the Internet.

Many producers of smartphones already release devices with a wide set of specifications, in particular, with a size of screen from 4 to 11 inches, unique forms of the case (with a folding cover and turning down, tablet, with the keyboard) and with the software focused on the user (regarding OS and appendices). The market of smartphones on the basis of Android system quickly becomes diversified and fragmentary thanks to policy of "an open code" which the producer began to adhere. Fragmentation of a model range has serious impact on compatibility of appendices. For preservation of high liquidity of appendices very important most to diversify them and at the same time to minimize undesirable fragmentation. In the markets with high level of the competition producer companies and the operator companies focus the activity on creation and advance on production market with the maximum extent of differentiation of functionality reached it by change-over. It allows to reduce undesirable fragmentation which developed in the market in the field of terminals of mobile communication. To create really flexible communication platform on the basis of modern types of smartphones and to create the steady world market of these devices, all participants of their development and distribution have to concentrate the efforts on a solution of the problem of defragmentation of model ranges.

It was said that the smartphone becomes not only the innovative mobile device, but also the evolutionary solution of the personal Internet above. It not simply following version of existing radio telephones, and completely communication device and more perfect, than the personal computer or phone separately. Lifestyle of each user, and their evolution on an initial way are urged to change smartphones. If today subjects of the market are ready to realize prospects and the risks connected with development of decisions, smartphones promoting evolution, creation of new business and the new markets for them becomes quite real. If such understanding is not present, it is possible to face rather difficult circumstances. In 2011 the situation when the main producers of cell phones lost the shares in the market was created, and producers of smartphones reached a record sales level. The similar phenomenon which can be observed in any sector of the industry, quite normal. Actually all developed structure of participants of the market of mobile phones (suppliers of chips and other components, producers of chemical production, software developers, etc.) will considerably be reorganized now. This important tendency needs to be understood and actively to promote creation of even more "intellectual" world round us.
