Let’s talk about shopping. Who does the shopping in your family?

Going shopping is a part of our life whether we like it or not. Some people like do the shopping, some people don’t. So when we want to buy something we go to a shop. There are many kinds of shops in every town or city. If we are going to buy food products, we go to the supermarket. It is pleasant to do shopping there. There are some supermarkets in our town: “Korona”, “Green”, “Euroont” and “Raduga”. You can buy everything that you need there: chocolate, meat, sausages, fish, bread, dairy products, such as milk, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, eggs, sour cream and so on. A wide choice of vegetables and fruit is offered here too. Every town has a market, where you can buy both things to wear and all sorts of food products. Most people prefer to buy food products at the market, because it’s cheaper. My family does the major shopping at the market as there is a great choice of goods and prices are reasonable. If I want to buy something of clothes I go to a shopping centre. A shopping centre is composed of many little shops. On the ground floor the café and the chemist’s are located. On the first floor there is a department of men’s wear and footwear, the children’s department, sportswear and also different goods for women. The shop-assistants are attentive to the customers and they are always ready to help. In our family my mother does most of the shopping. She usually shops in the nearest supermarket and buys everything we need for our family: meat, fish, fruit, vegetables and sweets. She usually does it twice (once) a week. I can’t say that I like to go shopping, I usually get very tired of it.

Let’s talk about your hobbies. What do you like doing in your free time?

A hobby is a favourite pastime of a person. Hobbies differ like tastes. If you have chosen a hobby to your liking, lucky you are: you have made your life more interesting. There are a great variety of hobbies. During the past years there is a great increase in keeping fit and staying healthy. So a lot of teens go in for different kinds of sport. Sport helps them to keep fit and feel good. They started running, jogging and going to different fitness clubs in their free time. Watching sports on TV is a popular leisure activity and of course a lot of teens like going to the cinemas too. But most of all the young generation is fond of communication. There are many different methods of communication nowadays, and the most popular one is computers. A lot of teenagers spend much time working on computers. The Internet seems really good fun. You may send e-mails to friends from different countries and get their answers instantly. You even may talk to them. A lot of teenagers have mobile telephones, so they can always be contacted. Many teenagers are crazy about animals. They feed and train them. They like to hear stories about them on TV and they like reading books about them. Many teens have a pet at home. There are many other kinds of activities, such as travelling, visiting historical places, reading, going to different museums, skateboarding, fishing, shopping and others. We can say “ So many teens; so many kinds of activities. ” Now some words about me. I am 16 and I am a computer addict. I am fond of communication with other teens. That’s why I have a lot of friends. We send messages from one to another using on-line conversations and of course I like to play computer games. This hobby is becoming more and more popular. But I think computer games can be bad for our health, especially for the eyesight. And I must say that I’m also fond of music. I prefer rock. It is full of force. Rock music has a lot of positive effects. In conclusion I should say that is doesn’t matter what kind of hobby a person has. It is good to do something pleasant during your pastime.
