One of the Most Beautiful Buildings in the World
The School I Went to I’d like to say a few words about my school. I studied at school number 1233 in Moscow. My school is new and modern and I like it very much. It has 4 floors. The classrooms are light and spacious. There are classrooms for different subjects, such as English, History, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Literature and other subjects. There is a computer class in our school. We study computer science here. The computer class has the most modern equipment and the Internet access. We’ve also got an assembly hall, which is situated on the second floor. Meetings, conferences, concerts and all the celebrations take place here. We prepare different performances for all holidays. We sing songs, recite poetry, dance and participate in theatre performances. There are many opportunities to go in for sports in our school. Our school has a gym, a sports ground, a football field, a swimming pool and other sports facilities. There are many different sports groups: table tennis, swimming, athletics, football, volleyball, wrestling and rhythmic gymnastics. Many pupils of our school attend these sports groups. In our school we have also painting group, dance group, theatre group and rock group. All these group are very popular and many pupils attend them. The teachers in our school are very skilled. They try to give us all their knowledge and awake our interest to their subjects and to self study. Besides the school subjects, our teachers tell us about everything, about different problems of our world, such as ecology, nature protection, climate changes etc. There is a good tradition in our school. Every year people who graduated from our school come here to meet their teachers and classmates. These meetings take place every first Saturday of February. I think that school years are very important for every person. It’s a period of becoming adult achieving knowledge and choosing your way in life. School friends often remain our friends for all our life. So I’ll never forget my school, my teachers and my classmates. This is all I want to tell you.
The University I Study at I’d like to say a few words about The University I Study at. A university is a higher education institution which confers academic degrees in various subjects and provides undergraduate education or postgraduate education. People attend universities for many reasons (for example, career preparation, increased knowledge, new experiences). Entrance examinations are usually held in July and August. Universities and other high institutions are headed by rectors, and the faculties are headed by deans. People have to study in the university for 4-6 years. Universities prepare students in one or several specializations. Studying at higher institutions gives a solid background in all spheres of knowledge. It is commonly known that higher education offers ample opportunities and opens all doors to people who want to get a well-paid job in the future. Studying at university prepares people for practical work and brings advantage of a good career. Education people have more chances to succeed in their life. Many people aim to get a higher education. This year I entered the Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University. Now I’m a first-year student. I’m very happy with my choice. I like to study here. I think one of the best technical universities in Moscow State Automobile and Road Technical University. It is one of the oldest and the largest educational establishment in our country, which is well-known abroad. Very many outstanding scientists studied and worked at the university; among them are Sakharov, Shestakov, Stechkin, Efremov, Chudakov and others scientists. The university has 12 faculties, where you can get fantastic knowledge in almost all kinds of science. I hope to successfully finish MADI and find a good job in the future. This is all I want to tell you.
City Traffic I’d like to say a few words about city traffic. City transport is a shared passenger transport service which is available for use by the general public, as distinct from modes such as taxicab, carpooling or hired buses which are not shared by strangers without private arrangement. Transportation by road is probably the oldest mode of travel. The history of transport is divided into two stages. The first stage is that in which all forms of transport depended directly on the power of men or animals or on natural forces such as winds and current, The second stage began with the development of the steam engine, which was followed by the electric motor and the internal combustion engine as the main sources of power for transport. The most ancient people were probably wanderers. They did not live in settled homes because they did not know how to till the soil. As they moved from place to place they had to carry their goods themselves. The porters were usually the women, probably because the men had to be ready to beat off attacks by wild beasts or enemies. The next step was the use of pack animals for carrying goods. The kind of animal used varied in different places, but the general idea was the same - the bundles or baskets were carried by the animals on their backs. The dog, although too small to carry much, was probably one of the first transport animals used because it is so easily trained. The next advance in land transport came with the invention of the wheel. Then it became possible to travel rather comfortably by coaches. In cities like London, rich people had their own carriages, while poor people went on horseback or walked. Then appeared carriages that could be hired for short distances. They correspond to the modern taxis. Since the first transport was introduced to our life, we can notice that there are a lot of changes happened around us. Today in the city there are many types of city transport: Bus and coach, Train, water and air transport and etc. This is all I want to tell you. An Outstanding Scientist I’d like to say a few words about An Outstanding Scientist. I think this is scientist Albert Einstein because he a genius 20th century. Albert Einstein is known all over the world as a brilliant physicist and the founder of the theory of relativity. He is the greatest scientist of the 20th century. Some of his ides made possible the A-bombs, as well as television and other inventions. He was born in 1879 in a small German town. The Einstein family soon moved to Munich, where Albert went to school. Neither his parents, nor his school teachers thought much of his mental abilities. In 1895 Albert failed the entrance examination to a technical college in Zurich. A year ago, however, he managed to pass the exam and entered the college. After graduating from college, Einstein started to work at the Swiss Patent Office in Bern. In 1905 he wrote a short article in a science magazine. This was his "Special Theory of Relativity", the basis of Atomic energy. Later he became a professor in several European universities and in 1914 moved to Berlin as a member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences. After ten years of work, he created his "General Theory of Relativity". In 1921 Einstein received the Nobel Prize for Physics. He spoke out passionately against nuclear weapons and repression. Einstein died in 1955. The artificial element einsteinium has been named in his honour. Einstein was an outstanding scientist of the 20th century. This is all I want to tell you.
Choosing a Tour Route I would like to tell you about choosing a tour Route to Kizhi, because it shows us how people used to live in past. Kizhi is the remains of an ancient Russian settlement of the 16th century. This town is situated is on an island in the northern part of Onezhskoye Lake in Karelia. It is a famous tourist attraction because of the beautiful wooden churches and buildings that you will be shown the tools and household objects, that people would have used in the past. The most impressive building is the Transfiguration Church which has 22 domes. The Soviet government made the site into a museum of wooden architecture in 1960. There are also a collection of wooden peasants’ houses, mils, forges and stables at Kizhi. You can take a train and a boat to get there. Kizhi offers a glimpse into the past and shows that craftsman ship has always been a big part of Russian culture. This is all I want to tell you.
My School Life I’d like to say a few words about my school life. I studied at school number 230 in Moscow. I can say that I was happy at school. The standard of education in our school is very high. We studied various subjects, such as English, History, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Literature and other subjects, and our lessons were usually interesting and exciting. A teacher plays an important role in our education. I think that I was lucky because all my teachers were very skilled and. They try to give us all their knowledge and awake our interest to their subjects and to self study. Besides the school subjects, our teachers tell us about everything, about different problems of our world, such as ecology, nature protection, climate changes etc. They supported us and took care of us. That’s why I was happy at school and so were my classmates. I was rather a good pupil. I didn’t have many problems at school, but I think that sometimes we had too much homework. School isn’t only a place of education. It is a place where we develop our relationship. I can say that social life is of great importance for pupils, and in our school it is organized very well. Pupils always have a lot of parties, competitions and excursions. I usually got on well with the teachers and I was quite successful in class. So I went to school with pleasure, because I liked my school and my class. I think that school years are very important for every person. It’s a period of becoming adult achieving knowledge and choosing your way in life. School friends often remain our friends for all our life. So I’ll never forget my school, my teachers and my classmates. This is all I want to tell you. This is all I want to tell you.

Students always have a lot of parties, competitions and excursions. This is all I want to tell you.
City Traffic of Future I’d like to say a few words about City Traffic of Future. I think, it will be a lot of minicars and electric cars in the streets in the future. They wit be quiet and clean. Their speed will be not high. They will be very comfortable. But people will not use those cars in their everyday life, because they will go by little and quiet buses. As for the forms of city traffic, I think that trolley-buses and trams will be eliminated in the future because they are not comfortable, sometimes dangerous and prevent some moto-cars from free moving. So to my mind the vehicle for everyday life, as i sad, will be compact, rather safe, quite mobile and with a high speed. I think, that people will use mostly helicopters to get rid of traffic jams. All the vehicles will run on steam, which is quiet and clean. It will be rather clean and easy-available. As for the speed it will be different. If you go by steam vehicles, it will be high and if you use minicars you will go rather slowly. All the vehicles will have little passenger capacity to be more easy-going. I think every vehicles will have a lot of different accessories, for example some bars with soft drinks, candies, ice-cream, portable TV-sets, radio and air bags for every passenger. This is all I want to tell you.

One of the Most Beautiful Buildings in the World There are many different beautiful buildings in the world, such as Kremlin, Tower of London, Louver and so on, but tastes are differ, and different pupils will tell you about different buildings, but I want to tell you a few words about Tower of London. The Tower has been many things: a palace, a fortress, a prison, a place of execution, a Zoo. Today, it is best known as a historical museum. Kings sometimes get strange presents. About 700 years ago King Henry III got 3 leopards, 1 elephant and a polar bear. He kept them in the Tower. The elephant died after two years but the polar bear was happy as it went swimming and fishing in the Thames with a strong rope round its neck. That was the start of the London Zoo. In 1835 all animals left the Tower and were sent to the Zoo in Regent's Park. Only the ravens stayed on. The Beefeaters used to guard the Tower and its prisoners. Today they work mostly as guides. They show people around and tell stories about all the terrible things that have happened here. They still wear the high ruffs and scarlet tunics assigned to them during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The Tower was a royal palace long ago. Then it became a prison. Kings, queens and noblemen were locked up here. Many, like Lady Jane Grey, lost their heads on Tower Green inside the walls or nearby on Tower Hill. The last time it was used as a prison was during the Second World War when German spies were kept and sometimes shot there. This is all I want to tell you.
