Food that I like to cook and to eat.

I am rather good at cooking and I have to cook practically every day, and there are several dishes that I can and like to cook. My favorite dish is pizza.

Cooking pizza is a very interesting and easy process. I use all the products that can be found at home. This makes my dish very tasty.

I also like to cook potato mash (карт. пюре) with meat. Firstly, I peel potatoes in a saucepan (кастрюля). Then they are boiling until they become soft. Finally I add milk into the mixture. That's enough. It takes about 1 hour.

My friends like it when I am cooking. We cook some tasty dishes on holidays. For example, we make cakes after passing the exam.

Sometimes I have a bad mood and so I begin cooking. It brings me to life. I like to cook salads. I write a new technology of cooking salads in my notebook. Also I like to go home and eat everything that my mother cooks. My mother is very good in cooking because she likes this work.

In eating I prefer usual food: potatoes, fish and cutlets. They can be found in our student's dining hall. I am not a lover of exotic dishes like soup from shark (акула) or....!

 

 

Describe the airport you have ever been to.

I visited airports only several times during my life. Moreover, in Russia I was only in airport "Domodedovo". It's said to be one of the best airports of our country in a view of security. It is true, for example, that you must lay off your belt (пояс), watch, rings and even ear rings (серёжки) to pass the detector on metal. It is tiresome (утомительно) but necessary.

I liked this airport. It is tidy, cozy, organized. People in the airport are very polite and patient. Also Domodedovo airport is located not far from my home because I live near the "Kashirskaya" metro station and it is not far from station "Domodedovskaya".

 

I want to France very much & was in many countries & in many airports therefore (соответственно). But most of all I admired Ben-Gurion Airport in Tell-Aviv. This is a great building, very beautiful and large. Our flight arrived at night and the airport was all in fires. Illumination amazed imagination. The only non-pleasant thing for me was it is uncomfortable. The coziest airport in which I was is in Vienna. It’s small & comfortable. It seems to me that in it is possible for hours and not to be tired as at big one.

 

 

16. Fame (слава) and success.

Whether a star is born or made? I think that there is no a single answer on this question. Several years ago there was quiet another situation. To become a star and a favorite of public one had to have a good part (voice) and hearing in actor talent and a charm. Those people became stars due to their abilities.

Nowadays the majority don't have such characteristics in comparison with old artists. Their fame and success depend on money of their producers and their appearance. Of course, it is not about all of them, there are persons who achieved their success by themselves. Unfortunately, the number of them is rather small. It's a pity that situation with artists became so unpleasant, but I believe that all really gifted (одарённый) people will find their public and will make glad it with their creative work.

 

17. Future of toys & games, cars & transport.

Do you remember your childhood? We had a lot of teddy bears, constructors, little cars. Some of us had Tetris, Dandy or Sega. For hours we could sitting in front of this platform games. The most of people had Russian or Soviet cars and only the richest could afford foreign ones. Everybody wore the same clothes. We all were alike. But now many things have changed cardinally.

Computer games have replaced many usual toys. The present latter ones are more colorful, nicer. Our transport is more comfortable, faster. A lot of us possess foreign cars. And what can we say about our clothes? It’s so different that we try to find something interesting for ourselves.

My opinion about the future isn’t new. Different toys and games will be replaced by the virtual reality: cars will be considerably faster and clothes – more various & comfortable.

 

Rules of professional behaviour.

So, you’ve come to your new job. At first you must meet your boss. You may ask him different questions about the job, company, teem etc. you must keep good impression for him. This is very important as it is your relationship that your success depends on. At second, you need meet colleagues. They can say much important information to you: about boss, job, dress-code and so on. You should remember, you will be working with them for a long time and good relations are more necessary than the same with your boss. You must feel comfort at your workspace. If not, your work won’t be so productive as your company wants.

I think the rules of professional behavior must look this way. But it’s only my subjective opinion, because different jobs need different demands.

 

19. My achievements & projects (планы).

During all our life we reach success in different fields: studying, science, sport etc. The cleverest pupils reach victories on different fields: physics, math and so on. The best scientists make investigations. The sportsmen set fantastic records in athletics, skiing, skating.

As for me, I have a few achievements. When I was in the 9th form, I won the town Olympiad on Physics. And after that I got only the 3rd place on English language in the 10th form and the 4th – in the 11th form. At sports I had little success in football. I got the first and the second places in the competition between our town schools.

I also had some achievements in music but they are very small. I can say about myself only that I have developed in different ways which helps me feel comfortable in various situations.

 

 

Likely and unlikely situations.

What shall I do if I find myself on a desert island (необитаемый остров)? First of all, I suppose this would never occur. But in reverse situation I would hardly be in a panic. Then I would light a fire on a coast and would wait for a ship passing nearby. Probably, I would be able to call in a rescue service with my mobile phone.

One more unlikely situation is my election into president. If I were him I would reduce fines, increased salaries for civil servants and make reforms in educational system. But I think this occupation requires a lot of knowledge and a strong will.

This summer our family is planning to go to Egypt. If I close the current session in the Institute then I will join them. So it will become possible to spend 2-months vacation with unforgettable pleasure.

If I earn 500,000 dollars I will buy a cottage in my city and the rest of that sum will be spent on charity and put in a bank account for the future.

In conclusion t should notice that we must get out from different situations in spite of any thing.

 

Weather forecast.

Weather plays a very important role in our life. It influences our plans: what we can do tomorrow or later. I’m interested in weather state, usually when it changes sharply. Then I visit a web site providing forecasts for the nearest week. Here I can learn about values of temperature, cloudiness, pressure and speed of wind. As for today, it’s predicted to be a fair (ясная) weather, sometimes “partly clouded”.

Unfortunately, forecasts are not accurate enough every time. They contain some mistakes. Nobody likes mistakes. Imagine that you and your friends are going to a picnic and suddenly a rain begins. You will get a lot of negative emotions and will have some risk of falling ill. Do you remember last summer? That 2 months we will hardly forget when we were waiting for rain for a lot of time. And when the weather forecasts said: “There will be rainy” – we were very happy. Recently I heard this summer won’t be so dry and it makes me a bit happy.

 

Important moment in my life

There are a lot of moments in our life: important and not. The former ones we remember all our life. As for me, it’s very important to remember my younger brother’s birthday. I was so happy when I saw him first time: so little and so nice baby. He was looked after by our heat & love. During the years I remembered his 1st day at our home. To my mind, that was the happiest moment in my life. On that day I felt some responsibilities for his future life. Now I understand that over these 13 years I’ve influenced my brother only in a good ways. He repeated everything after me and some things he does better. And because of this I’m proud of him.

 

Things do and have done.

Everybody knows such words: “treat people in such way as you want them to treat you”. If you do only good things, as a rule, you will have only good relations with other people. Does it need anything for a good life? T think, no. you need to have reliable people around yourself. But actually this is rather difficult. What can I say about myself? I don’t remember that I’ve done anything bad for other people. The most of them are my friends and they’ve made only good things for me. They can joke at me sometimes, but I react to this just with laughing. We need to make laugh on ourselves.

 

Predictions about my life.

Most of us want to know what awaits us in the future. Somebody will be very successful, somebody – not so. I don’t like to look into the future, but I can make some predictions. I’m a second-year student and I have faced with necessity of determining my future occupation and a place for living.

First of all, I should pay attention to my study, because my future wealth directly depends on it. There is one more possibility to continue the education. I mean second education on some scholarship (гуманитарное) as I am interested in history of my region of Urals. And, of course, I’ll try to find a good job with friendly team and attractive prospects.

Secondly, I was asked a lot of questions about what kind of life I want to lead. I’ve made my mind to be an engineer. My choice for this position didn’t come as a sudden flash. I think this profession is of great need nowadays in our country. To be a well-prepared engineer I should have great capability persistence, knowledge of science and foreign language.

Thirdly, I’ll try to make my friendly happy and we will spend a lot of time together.

And in conclusion, I’m planning to visit some countries, to see the corrida in Spain, the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysees in France and to have a rest in the Mediterranean. And in addition I want to have a strong family where I will belong and which will support me.
