Analysis

We should focus on tuna harvest. Sales increased, but harvests decreased. We can reduce herring, sardine, and anchovy harvest. The unused vessels can participate in tuna operations.

Sales Trends

Sales trends varied. Herring, sardine, and anchovy sales did not change. Tuna sales rose by 2.1%. Swordfish had the largest increase at 4%. But sales of cobia and opah declined by 5%.

Harvest Trends

Overall, harvest numbers increased for pelagic fish. Herringand sardine harvest were 3% higher. Anchovy harvests increased by the same amount. However, harvest of mackerel dropped slightly. In particular, our tuna harvest dropped by 3.2%. Other harvests met standard levels.
