Grammar

At this level you are going to look at the English tenses from a different perspective.

You’re going to use the aspects approach: Simple, Continuous, Perfect and Perfect Continuous.

 

1. Simple Tenses:

What do they have in common?

Simple tenses are used whenever we are talking about a point in time (точка во времени); they show an action as a fact.

1.London's population not increased from 1955 to 1988. (didn’t increase)

2. It did not happen. (right)

to show emphasis in a positive sentence. With the present / past simple, add do / does / did before the main verb. With other auxiliaries stress the auxiliary verb. Перевод: на самом деле, действительно.
