How to get there

If you came by plane: From Oujda Angad airport take a taxi to the address of lodging.

Or from Fès Saiss airport: take a taxi to Fès train station, see the train timetable Fès/Oujda as follow.

By coach: from Bab Boujloud coaches station, there is one coach every 3 hours.

Fès was the first capital of Morocco as well as the oldest city of the country built in 809. Again in the 13th century during the reign of the Merinid dynasty, and in the 14th century, the city became the spiritual and cultural centre of traditional Morocco.

Fès is also the capital of skilled-craft, specialized in pottery, copperplates, and lather work. It's known by its monuments: Fès El Bali, la medina, El Attarin, l'horloge, Mosqué ElQuaraouiyine

"Chantiers jeunesse Maroc" is organizing a workcamp with collaboration with the city council of Fès Saiss.

 

Number of volunteers: 20

Nature of the work: Creating a green space in a popular quarter in the city of Fès..The duration of work is

5 hours a da y.

Meals: Meals will be prepared by volunteers.

Leisure activities:

Volunteers will have to setup their own programme of leisure activities.

There are some hints to help you setup this programme.

The volunteers will visit de Médina of Fès 1400 years old: Mérinides school, Dar El baroud, Moulay Idriss,

El Quaraouiyine Mosque, “Dar edbagh”

Volunteers could also attends the “son et lumières” entertainment and the surrounding touristic

sites (Atlas mountains)/

We also propose swimming pool.

CJM7 Mir Left/Sidi Ifni

Mir Left is a small village in the south of Morocco on the Atlantic coast.

Mir Left is situated at 150 km to the south of Agadir. The village is built on the plain which dominates the ocean, the seaside is beautiful.

“Chantiers jeunesse Maroc” is organizing a workcamp with the collaboration of the city council

of Mir Left.

0 Number of volunteers: 20

0 Nature of the work: Gardening, planting, painting frescoes in center of the village

0 The duration of work will be 5 hours /a day.

0 Meals: Meals will be prepared by volunteers.

0 Activities: You will also have to bring with you working clothes, a sleeping bag, and anything which could contribute to the good progress of the workcamp (game sets, musical instruments the workcamp (game sets, musical instruments, cooking recipe, etc….)

Leisure activities:

Volunteers will have to setup their own programme of leisure activities.

from the Agadir airport: from Agadir airport take a taxi to Agadir coaches station and take a coach to Sidi Ifni; or Tiznit: from Tiznit there a bus which leaves every hour to Mir Left; the

camp leader will wait for volunteers.

CJM8 – BOULMANE1

Boulmane is a small Town situated in the middle Atlas at 85 kms to the south - east of Fès.

It is famous for the snowfall during winter and mild temperature in summer. The middle Atlas big summits: Michlifen, Hibri and Habri are at a height of 2000 m. The area is also covered with tremendous forests. It is known by its natural panoramas and authentic monuments: “Ksour Ifkern” at 1700m alt.

 

“Chantiers jeunesse Maroc” is organizing a workcamp in collaboration with “Association de bienfaisance Boulmane”

 

Number of volunteers: 20

Nature of the work: The project consists of working in a water spring to set up the area (Ain Aghbalou)

, planting and gardening.

Lodging: the volunteers will be hosted in a student house in Boulmane.

Meals: will be prepared by volunteers.

Activities: You will also have to bring with them working clothes, a sleeping bag, and anything which could contribute to the good progress of the workcamp (game sets, musical instruments, cooking recipe, etc….). This will give you an interesting opportunity to discover cultural reality and habits of the local population.

Leisure activities:

Volunteers will have to setup their own programme of leisure activities.

There are some hints to help you setup this programme.
