Eligibility:
-The scholarships are open to all students who have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (or related to mathematics) and who have or will have completed the first year of a Master or PhD program in a foreign or French academic institution during the academic year 2011-2012.
-The enrolled students have to register in the second year (M2) of a Master program in optimization, uppermost in one of the FMJH member institutions.
-The scholarships are open to all students. The selection process will be based on the academic quality of the transcript and recommendation letters, as well as on the matching of the student personal interests and of the PGMO goal of developing mathematical optimization.

Scholarship Description: In the framework of the Gaspard Monge program for optimization and operation research (PGMO, sponsored by EDF R&D), the Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH) is offering one year scholarships for talented students applying to a second year (M2) of one of the master programs in mathematical optimization offered by one of its member institutions (Université Paris-Sud, ENS-Cachan, Ecole Polytechnique, ENSTA).The stipend is 10,000 euros per year. Laureates won’t have to pay any tuition fees and will benefit from the French health insurance system (Sécurité Sociale). For foreign students: the FMJH will support travel expenses (one round-trip ticket, economy class from your residence). The FMJH will also provide french courses and assistance at the arrival in France. The FMJH will try, as much as possible, to provide housing in students dormitories (the cost will be directly deduced from the scholarship).

Scholarship Open for International Students: Yes

Scholarship Description: Grants in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities (*) will be awarded to highly qualified students who are intending to complete their PhD studies in Turkey. [Specialty and subspecialty residency or fellowship training programmes in clinical medicine (including dentistry) are not included]. The new entrants to the PhD programmes and PhD students who have registered at most one year ago can apply to this scholarship program. Maximum duration of this fellowship is 5 years beginning from the date of PhD registration, provided that the fellow is successful in his/her studies (courses) and that the supervisor states in his/her evaluation report that the candidate is making good progress. Fellowships must be started within 1 year after the allocation.

Description

The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) is a collaboration between the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). PhD training will be carried out in English at your chosen lab at A*STAR Research Institutes, NUS or NTU. Students will be supervised by distinguished and world-renowned researchers in these labs. Upon successful completion, students will be conferred a PhD degree by either NUS or NTU.

Scholarship

• Attractive monthly stipend over 4 years of PhD studies, which can support you comfortably. The stipend amount is SGD 24,000 annually, to be increased to SGD 30,000 after passing Qualifying Examination.
• Full support for tuition fees for 4 years of PhD studies.
• One-time SGD 1,000 Settling-in Allowance
• One-time Airfare Grant of SGD 1,500

Benefits

The scholarship will cover the period of 12 to 36 months and the included benefits are:
• R$ 7.000,00 (seven thousand reais, about four thousand US dollars) per month for living expenses;
• Grant amounting to R$ 20.000,00 (twenty thousand reais, about eleven thousand US dollars) per year;
• Airline tickets; and
• Accommodation aid amounting R$ 7.000,00 (seven thousand reais, about four thousand US dollars).

When the research contributor submits the proposal, its necessary to attach to the form, a file with the research project and the candidate's Curriculum resume into platform lattes application or the summary of the candidate's resume.

When the candidate submits himself the proposal, it must be done in three steps:

1) Access the link http://lattes.cnpq.br/english/index.htm, click in register and fill the form to create login and password to access the submission form;

2) Submission form is available here. Attach to the form a file with the candidate's curriculum resume or the summary of the candidate's resume;

3) If pre-approved, the candidate must indicate within 90 days the host institution, as well as the research contributor in Brazil and the research project, according to the announcement.

The research proposals must be submitted exclusively by Internet, through the Online Application Form, available in the Program website (www.cienciasemfronteiras.gov.br).
