What foreign languages can you learn at your school?

In my school I chose only one language to learn. It was English, but some other students were learning German or French.

How many English lessons a week do you have?

I have 3 English lessons a week. Every Monday, Tuesday and Friday I have to be ready for them.

For what reasons do people learn foreign languages nowadays?

(Nowadays) we can travel a lot and it’s easier to visit a country if you know the language. Also, we can get a better job if we can speak different foreign languages.

What is the most effective way to learn a foreign language in your opinion?

The most effective way of learning a language is to spend 6 months in the county alone. (As you have nobody to talk to in your mother tongue) in this case you have to start to communicate with local people and learn their language.

Do you think English will be useful for you in the future? In what way?

I think it will be useful for my future career (and I’ll get the better position thanks to English). Also I’m going to travel a lot and English is the language which all people use to communicate abroad.

What language would you recommend your English-speaking friend learn? Why?

I would recommend to him/her to choose Chinese or another Asian language. These languages are very popular now in a business sphere

 

Do you think spending your school holidays with your school friends is a good idea or not?

I believe that spending school holidays with school friends is a brilliant idea. It helps you to build relationships first, and then defuse situations during your schooldays.

Why do you think so? - How do you spend your school holidays?

I think so, because I went through it. Though I usually spend my summer holidays with all my friends and relatives.

Did you use to spend your school holidays differently when you were in primary school?

Sure, I spent my holidays with my close relatives only. My mom was afraid to leave me with other people

How did you use school holidays for self-education?

I visited a lot of museums and galleries. I was watching documentary films and listened to different podcasts.

Would you prefer to have them longer?

I would prefer to have them longer like all children of my school. It was fantastic.

 

Do you think it is important to protect nature? Why do you think so?

I believe that it is highly important to protect nature, and there is the reason: it provides the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat as well as other essential resources we need to survive. It goes without saying, that our planet should be protected.

What can you tell us about ways of environment protection in your region?

There are a lot of volunteers for cleanups. Waste paper collection areas are also available in the region.

How did people take care of the planet 10 years ago?

They did the same things. I believe that nothing has changed within a decade.

Who is responsible for environment protection in your opinion?

The administration is responsible for environment protection. Nobody else has tools to influence the people.

What measures can be taken to improve the ecological situation in the future?

People should recycle things and replace disposable items with reusable. These measure will improve ecological situation in the future.

 

What region of Russia are you from? What is it famous for?

I’m from Moscow region. It’s famous for its museums, galleries and theaters.

Do you think your region is popular with tourists? Why do you think so?

I am sure, that this region is popular among tourists, you may look at some statistics. There are many foreigners and they have a rest or do business here.

What qualities were people expected to have in male and female jobs?

A man had to demonstrate his leadership qualities. A woman was supposed to show her politeness.

Scientists?

I think they are launch and start of operation of Spektra-RG, an observatory for building a map of the Universe, creating of the first prototype quantum computer and maybe discovery of the first interstellar comet by astronomer Gennady Borisov

Why?

I whould tell you about Nikola Lobachevsky. I know a lot of information about him.
