Do you agree that the Republic of Belarus is worth visiting? Why?

Belarus is an ancient country with a long and interesting history. There are a lot of places of interest: ancient towns, monuments and museums. They are our national heritage. For example, Nesvizh Castle, Mir Castle and, of course, Minsk, the capital of our country. All the sights reflect Belarusian cultural traditions and tell about the history of the country.

But I think, most tourists will remember the hospitality of Belarusian people.

Do you agree that the national symbols of the Republic of Belarus represent the country and its people properly? Explain your point of view.

The national symbols of Belarus are its national flag, national emblem and national anthem. I think they represent our country properly. The national anthem symbolizes Belarusian historical traditions. The national emblem represents some features of the past of Belarus. The national flag shows that we are the proud and noble people who live in a sovereign country with a long history.

Do you agree that teenagers are not very much interested in the past of Belarus nowadays? Why?

Belarus has a long and interesting history. At school we have History lessons and optional courses which tell us about the history and culture of Belarus. Every teenager in Belarus loves his country and knows a lot about its past and present. So I think that we are real patriots of Belarus.

I think that we should promote our cultural heritage on the international arena. Belarus is a country with a long and interesting history and rich cultural heritage. We have exciting traditions, spectacular rituals. Our music is unique. Belarusian people are talented and hard-working and I think we should be more active on the international arena.

Are you proud of our national holidays and traditions?

I should say that Belarusian life is full of customs and traditions. Ancient rituals, connected with the cult of our ancestors, may be seen in such customs and holidays as “Dziady” or “Kupalle”. Some holidays and traditions have a religious origin. For example, Christmas and Easter. They are very spectacular and I like them.

Do you know any places that belong to our cultural heritage?

There are a lot of places of interest in Belarus and I have visited many of them. Among the main treasures we can mention the cities of Nesvizh and Mir where you can see old castles. They are our national heritage. The castles are associated with mysterious legends about lost treasures and ghosts. But I would like to visit Minsk. I have already been to Minsk several times but I haven’t seen all its sights.

But there are three other symbols: the white stork, the cornflowerand the bison. They are the symbols of Belarusian nature.
