What are the major chemical mining and metallurgical enterprises of Kazakhstan do you know? Why you have selected these enterprises?

There are a lot of mining and metallurgical enterprises in Kazakhstan. They are ArsellorMittal, KazMinerals (KazakhMys), KazPhosphate, KazZinc, "UMP" JSC (in Russian «УМЗ»).

"ArcelorMittal Temirtau" is the largest mining and metallurgical sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It’s an integrated mining and metallurgical complex with its own coal, iron ore and energy base. There is a lead-zinc plant with annual capacity of 320 thousand tons of products. The volume of steel production is 5.1 million tons. The volume of finished steel - 3.9 million tons. Company products are sold in China, Europe, America and Iran.

Kazakhmys Corporation is the largest copper producer in Kazakhstan. It’s a leader international company for the production and processing of natural resources. Copper production is fully integrated from mining ore through to production of final products in the form of copper cathode and rod. The volume of copper production is about 81 000 tons per year.

Kazzinc - large integrated zinc producer with a high degree of concomitant copper, precious metals and lead. The main enterprise of the company are located in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the most of them are in the East Kazakhstan region. The company was founded in 1997. The volume of zinc production is about 300 000 tons per year.

"UMP" JSC is one of the world leaders in the production of uranium dioxide fuel pellets for nuclear power plants and products containing beryllium, tantalum and niobium for the needs of nuclear power, electronics, aerospace, metallurgy and other fields of activity.

All listed companies are a leaders of manufacture not only in Kazakhstan, but also worldwide. They are examples of the sustainable development of the mining industry.

What are the conditions for the development of chemical industry in Kazakhstan can be called favorable? What are the obstacles? Make your forecast for the next 5 – 10 years.

Kazakhstan has experienced strong economic growth over the past 20 years, mainly as a result of industrial policy, which has contributed to the effective use of natural resources of the country, the rapid development of production and an increase in the flow of foreign direct investment into the country.

However, there are the following problems:

- Lack of understanding of the types of innovation and how to develop innovations in the industry, universities and the public sector;

- The lack of effective mechanisms to ensure the demand for innovation, weak private sector participation in innovation, as well as the underdevelopment of the venture capital market for financing innovative projects;

- Administrative barriers to innovation;

All this together significantly limit the contribution of innovation to economic development, and cause of that chemical industry.

For the purposes of phased development of industrial policy was approved by the State program of industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019 years. Program is to encourage diversification and enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. To achieve this goal the following tasks:

1) accelerated development of the manufacturing industry;

2) improve the efficiency and increase the added value in the priority sectors;

3) An increase in non-oil exports;

4) Preservation of productive employment;

Results: during January-March 2016 the chemical industry production value reached to 95.3 billion tenge against 69.4 tenge in the same period last year. Thus, in 2016, the figures ahead of last year by almost 40%.

Describe the sorption processes of uranium sorption columns with batch and continuous processes. Draw the schematic of the sorption pressure column in both cases. Specify the differences that improve the technology.

Sorption columns with batch

Sections 200 and 300 are "U" -shaped column divided into 2 parts. One of them is a resin which adsorbs PR. After the resin saturation flow PR stops. The shutter opens, the resin is distilled in the other side of the column, and the shutter is closed again. Nitrating solution is supplied. Desorbate resin and purified are obtained. Desorbate discarded. The shutter opens, the resin is sent back in the direction of flow of PR and the shutter closes.

Sections 200 and 300 are shown in a single column

Introduction

The present designing task provides construction of the plant for the production of ceramic, facial, clinker brick and large-format ceramic blocks with capacity of 40-60 mln. Brick units per year. on the field " Zhanako " Zhanakorkan district, Kyzylorda region.

In this technical task «Zhanako» with the addition of coal washing of " PetroKazakhstan " corp. offer a source of raw materials to build a plant for the production of ceramic products.

The design, construction and installation, commissioning and other documentation must comply with the regulatory and legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan (standards, construction, environmental and health standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

Select a 10-point rules of the laboratory and analytical work according to the rules of industrial safety in the mining of ore field methods situ and heap leaching. Spend on the items inspection process tests your analytical room.

In a laboratory building and premises necessarily natural lighting shall be provided, heating, water supply and sewerage, drainage and cleaning of washing water.

Rooms are designed to work with hazardous substances must be isolated from the rest of the lab, have a separate entrance and hoods, non-ventilation of other spaces.

Switch the air handling unit must be located in front of the room and interlocked light and sound alarms, warning about turning off ventilation, and must also provide for automatic activation of emergency ventilation in case of failure the main air handling unit.

Ventilation devices in laboratory rooms where work with chemically aggressive substances should be made from chemically resistant materials or be protected against corrosion.

Gas and water taps on the desktops and in closets shall be located at their front sides (edges) and mounted so as to prevent accidental opening of the valve.

To wash a large number of chemical vessels must be equipped with separate washing facilities, which must be located in the center of the laboratories they serve. Washing must be equipped with special tables:

1) one with a fume hood to remove noxious odors;

2) two outdoor washing soda solution and clean water.

Glass bottles with acids and alkalis must be stored in strong wooden crates. The space between the bottle and crate must be filled with packing material, pre-impregnated with flame retardant.

Alkali metals should be stored in the dehydrated oils, kerosene or without air, into a thick, well-sealed container. Bottles with alkali metals should be placed in a metal box with a tight lid, sides and bottom of which are lined with asbestos.

On each vessel with a chemical substance to be a sticker, which shall be specified name of the product and other data in accordance with the Standard. Do not store chemicals in laboratories without labels on the container, appropriate to their nature.

Hazardous substances must be stored in a special room in a metal closet under lock and seal. Containers for the storage of these substances must be sealed.

In the laboratory, in prominent places must be posted safety instructions.

At every workplace and in the warehouse, you must have a sufficient amount of neutralizing agents.

Each operating room laboratory in a conspicuous place readily accessible should be a first aid kit that contains the necessary medicines for first aid.

The technical condition of the well - the state of the well design elements, its performance, temporary and permanent defects caused during the operation;

Mudding filter and pre-filtered well zone - the process of reducing the filtration capacity of the filter and filtration properties pre-filtered productive zone of the aquifer as a result of plugging Holes, channels and pores mechanical and chemical precipitation;

Decolmatation filter and pre-filtered well zone - the elimination of the consequences of mudding process;

Septic tanks - surface or recessed volume facilities for the collection of technological solutions and the deposition of suspended solids;

Processing complex in-situ and heap leaching - a complex of technical means and facilities, providing processing of productive solutions to obtain the final product;

The authorized body in the field of industrial safety - a central executive body of the Republic of Kazakhstan, carrying out within the limits of the powers of state policy in the field of industrial safety;
