Introductory Poem (Prologue)

Jewish motives - Sabbath tune

In a good mood I will go to the synagogue today

There I will strongly pray to God.

The finest music and delicious matzah

Let's slaughter a lamb for lunch with you since morning.

In their beautiful yeshivas they cram Talmud and Torah

In a kibbutz, my father is now lighting a menorah.

Kosher dishes, kosher wine

For luck, I will eat fish with you at the same time.

We will light the menorah, we say a prayer

We will learn the Torah, and we ask the Lord,

So that there was peace and quiet in the country of Israel.

And so that the country of Israel is not offended by any other Arab.

And if we are in Jerusalem

We will not forget God at the Western Wall.
