VIII . Оборот «объектный падеж с инфинитивом»

 

В английском языке после ряда глаголов употребляется оборот «объектный падеж с инфинитивом», состоящий из существительного или местоимения (в объектном падеже) и инфинитива.

 

We know these devices to work properly.

We know them to work properly.

Мы знаем, что эти приборы (они) работают хорошо

Чаще всего этот оборот встречается после следующих глаголов, которые мы будем называть «вводящими глаголами»:

to assume to believe to consider to expect   to find to know to observe

полагать полагать считать ожидать, полагать находить знать наблюдать

to order to require to show to suppose to think   to want to cause

приказывать требовать показывать предполагать думать, полагать хотеть заставлять

 

А после глаголов:

to hear         слышать

to notice      замечать

to see           видеть

to watch      наблюдать

to make       заставлять

инфинитив употребляется без частицы «to»

Если в тексте встречается один из «вводящих» глаголов, проверьте: идет ли за ним существительное (местоимение) и инфинитив. Если да, то это оборот «объектный падеж с инфинитивом». Переводить такие предложения нужно следующим образом:

1. Переведите «вводящий» глагол;

2. Поставьте после него один из союзов «что–чтобы-как»;

3. Переведите существительное (местоимение), следующее за «вводящим глаголом», поставив его в именительном падеже;

4. Переведите инфинитив, согласовав его с подлежащим-существительным (местоимением).
