Соматизмы в английском языке

Введение

 

Соматическая лексика становится предметом пристального внимания лингвистов в конце XX - начале XXI вв.. когда проблемы глобализации, интеграции и обогащения культур потребовали поиска толерантного решения вопросов межкультурной коммуникации, в том числе и вопросов повышения эффективности изучения лексического состава языка, способствующего обогащению страноведческими знаниями, что отвечает целям и задачам коммуникативной лингвистики и практическим целям и задачам активного овладения иностранным языком.

Как отмечает Ю.Н. Караулов, «нельзя познать сам по себе язык, не выйдя за его пределы, не обратившись к его творцу, носителю, пользователю - к человеку, к конкретной языковой личности». [Караулов Ю.Н., 1987: 7] Обращение к творцу языка, т.е. к человеку, не может быть плодотворным без анализа и понимания той лексики, которая порождена познанием его самого и, прежде всего - без анализа соматической лексики, называющей и отражающей его строение, т.е. без группы названий частей его тела. Неслучайно соматическая лексика, принадлежащая к древнейшему пласту лексического состава в любом языке, издавна была объектом внимания лингвистов - широта связей соматизмов с реалиями окружающего мира объясняется онтогенетическими функциональными свойствами частей тела человека и их широкой символизацией.

Вместе с поступательным развитием языка и науки о языке интерес к соматической лексике как языковой универсалии углубляется и приобретает новые очертания, включаясь в орбиту все новых и новых научно-теоретических исследований.

Актуальность работы обусловлена неослабевающим интересом к специфике языка, выражающего соматический образ человека, стремлением совершенствовать методику сопоставительного анализа разноязычных лексиконов, а также в изучении фразеологических единиц определенного лексико-семантического поля.

Основной целью исследования является выявление специфики вербализации соматического образа человека на материале фразеологизмов английского языка.

В рамках поставленной цели решаются следующие задачи:

1) рассмотреть особенности фразеологического сочетания слов;

) выявить семантические особенности соматической фразеологии

) определить структурно-грамматический состав фразеологизмов и фразеологизированных выражений.

) провести контрастивный анализ соматизмов и выявить особенности их устройства;

) провести сопоставление фразеологических единиц двух языков, выявить степень межъязыковой эквивалентности, определить факторы, влияющие на нее.

Объектом данного исследования являются фразеологические единицы английского языка. Причем исследуется не весь фразеологический фонд этих языков, а только обороты лексико-семантического поля «частей тела». К ним относятся так называемые соматические фразеологические единицы. Это такие обороты, которые содержат в своем составе компонент со значением «части тела». Например: to take oneself in hand (взять себя в руки), to not put a foot wrong (никогда не ошибаться) и т.д. Данная лексико-семантическая группа была выбрана вследствие своей широкой распространенности, чрезвычайной образности и выразительности.

Предмет исследования - функционирование лексических и фразеологических единиц, вербализирующих соматический образ человека.

Источниками исследования послужили специальные и разные типы словарей - толковых, словообразовательных и этимологических, паремических и фразеологических, одноязычные и двуязычные словари.

Материалом и методикой исследования стали работы отечественных и зарубежных лингвистов, языковым материалом явились словари фразеологизмов английского и русского языков.

Заключение

 

Важность номинации, поиска вербального соответствия тому или иному факту действительности для познания окружающего мира и осознания себя в нем переоценить трудно. Человек понимает и осознает лишь то, что может адекватно назвать, и в зависимости от того, как называет, определенным образом воспринимает мир и себя как часть этого мира.

По утверждению отечественных лингвистов, человек представляет собой центральное и универсальное понятие как в концептуальной, так и языковой модели мира.

Наименование лица, как свидетельствует анализ его семантики и функционирования, занимает особое положение в системе языка, так как оно номинирует субъект языкового общения.

Образы, будучи неотъемлемой частью сверхобщности, способствуют выражению чувств, реакций, проявлению эмоциональной жизни человека в целом. Они дают оценку предметов по этическим и эстетическим нормам данного языкового коллектива.

Единицы с образным компонентом, характеризующим человека, возникают в языке как экспрессивные синонимы уже существующих обозначений. При этом они не просто служат наименованием лица, но и выражают определенное к нему отношение.

В языковой картине мира англичан было выделено несколько понятий и качеств, которые воплощают принятую в обществе оценку соответствующего явления и отражают связанные с данными характеристиками культурные представления и традиции.

Английские фразеологические единицы лексико-семантического поля «частей тела» представляют собой огромную группу фразеологизмов, обладающую специфическими особенностями. Среди них встречаются фразеологизмы всех типов (по классификации Виноградова В.В.): фразеологические сращения, единства и сочетания. Фразеологические сращения обладают неизменностью плана выражения, их совокупные образные значения никак не выводятся из отдельных значений слов, входящих во фразеологическую единицу. Фразеологические единства обладают меньшей спаянностью компонентов, и их совокупное значение в какой-то мере мотивировано семантикой составляющих единство слов.

Следует отметить отличие английских фразеологических сращений и единств от русских: для них необязательна неизменность структуры (компоненты могут заменяться без потери образности и изменения совокупного значения единицы). Фразеологические сочетания не обладают неделимым планом выражения и их семантика определяется значениями их компонентов. соматизм лексический фразеологический язык

Фразеологические единицы английского и русского языков с компонентом «часть тела» обладают повышенной межъязыковой фразеологической эквивалентностью. Это объясняется тем, что ядра (т.е. слова - названия частей тела) входят в высокочастотную и исконную лексику каждого из языков и обладают высокой фразообразовательной активностью, что повышает степень межъязыковой эквивалентности. Являясь частью фразеологических систем английского и русского языков, соматические фразеологизмы обладают повышенной фразеологической эквивалентностью, выделяющей их из общего числа фразеологизмов.
