I am currently making a film for the NHS doctors & staff, to help them understand what it is like for young people with psychosis to be using the mental health service in Haringey.

In 2000, I worked over a year with the midwifery department of the University of Central England and a group of parents who had children born with a disability. The aim of the film was to train medical staff on how to break the news of a child born with a disability to his/her parents. The film was distributed by SCOPE.

I feel that I very much understand what is needed in a film to move an audience and make them think and rethink about the issues involved. My career as a filmmaker and teacher has provided me with the skills and experience to develop the stories and find the best possible ways of telling them through film and for them to communicate powerfully with the targeted audiences.
