Do you agree that British people are slaves of traditions? Why?

I absolutely agree that “Custom is a second nature”, because British people are slaves of traditions.

English life is full of traditions as this country has a long and rich history. The UK is a parliamentary monarchy and the most spectacular traditions are connected with Parliament and the Queen. One of them is the State opening of Parliament when as tradition dictates the Queen reads the speech to the Members of Parliament.

British people are very religious and there is a tradition to celebrate Christmas and Easter together with relatives observing all religious rituals on these days.

Do you agree that the British system of education is the best?

People all over the world think that the British system of education is the best, especially when we speak about the Grammar schools (which prepare pupils for entering universities), private schools (which give high quality education) and British universities.

The most famous private schools are Eton and Harrow. They are selective schools for boys only. Many famous British people studied there.

The most famous universities in GB are Oxford and Cambridge. They have a very rich history and provide students with excellent facilities and resources for education: world-famous libraries, laboratories and museums. The research centres of these universities are known worldwide.

Do you agree that Britain is worth visiting? Why?

5.

Would you like to visit Britain? Why?

GB is a country of strong attraction for tourists. The combination of sea, high land and valleys, lakes and rivers, fields and meadows gives the charm to this country. The art of gardening is a very old tradition in England. People are fond of visiting the most famous British parks: Hyde Park and Kew Gardens.

In my view there are three things that make London the place of the greatest tourist attraction: its architecture, its famous museums and art galleries and the Royal traditions which are observed in the country.

As for me, I’d like to visit Britain because I’m sure it is worth visiting.

6.

What are the state symbols of Great Britain?

The main state symbols of GB are the state emblem – The Coat of Arms of the UK and the flag, known as the Union Jack which is made up of 3 crosses. Each part of the UK has its own emblem: the emblem of England is the rose, the emblem of Scotland is the thistle, the emblem of Wales is the daffodil, and the emblem of Northern Ireland is the shamrock.
