Chapter 1: Safety Guidance

This unit is internally powered equipment; the degree of shock protection is type В applied part. Type В applied part protection means that these patient connections will comply with permitted leakage currents, dielectric strengths of IEC 60601-1. The device is a tool to aid the healthcare professional and should not be used in place of normal fetal monitoring.

Safety Precautions

To avoid any possible danger, please operate the device according to safety guidance as following:

1. It is a precision device, Please don’t open it by yourself.

2. The device must be serviced only by authorized and qualified personnel.

3. If this device non-use for a long time, please take out the batteries from the device. The used batteries should be disposable according to local law of environmental protection.

4. The apparatus may be used in an extended mode and is designed for "home-use exclusively". Avoid contact with liquid.

5. The device is not explosion-proof and can not be used in the presence of flammable anaesthetics.

6. Do not throw batteries in fire as this may cause them to explode.

7. Please don’t set anode and cathode of the battery wrongly.

8. The battery must be stored in cool and dry place.

9. Electromagnetic Interference-Ensure that the environment in which the device is operated is not subject to any sources of strong electromagnetic interference, such as radio transmitters, mobile telephones, etc. Keep them far away.

10. The device should be kept from violent concussion.

11. The device can not be used with defibrillator or high frequency surgical unit.

12. Please keep the probe from edge tool.

13. The service life of this device is 5 years. Proper maintenance can prolong its service life.

14. After the service life, please return the products to the manufacture or disposal the products according to local regulations.

Chapter 2: Introduction

Baby Sound A/В Pocket Fetal Doppler is a hand held equipment for detecting Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) which is specially designed for family of pregnant women to conduct daily detection of FHR by themselves. Pregnant women can operate by themselves to hear fetal heart sound and calculate FHR to realize the purpose of pre-monitoring and fetus caring. There are two different models available: Baby Sound A and Baby Sound B. Baby Sound A is for simple auscultation. Baby Sound В is a high performance model with LCD digital display. Baby Sound A and Baby Sound В are integrated with 2MHz probe. They are all available for user replaceable batteries. Both of the two models have audio output. Both can be connected to a computer, CD or Tape with recording cable to record the fetal heart sound and share fetal’s heart beat with family and friends via Network.

Main Features:

3. Particular 2 Headphone Sockets design can let expectant mother and father hear the fetal heart sound together.

4. High sensitive doppler probe.

5. Low ultrasound output intensity, much lower than the relative government standard and with high safe quality.

6. Low power consumption, two AAA size batteries can last more than 8 hours for continuous use (depend on battery type and volume).

7. Can be connected to a computer or recorder to record the fetal heart sound with recording cable.

8. LCD FHR Display with high accuracy (Baby Sound В only).

9. Screen will be locked automatically without signal for 15s, which is convenient for pregnant women to operate individually (Baby Sound В only).

The device is frangible and must be handled with care. Gel must be wiped from the probe after use. These precautions will prolong the life of the unit. The user must check that the equipment does not have visible evidence of damage that may affect patient safety or Pocket Fetal Doppler capability before use. The recommended inspection interval is once per month or less. If damage is evident, replacement is recommended before use. The device should undergo periodic safety testing to insure proper patient isolation from leakage currents. This should include leakage current measurement. The recommended testing interval is once every two years or as specified in the institution’s test and inspection protocol. The accuracy of FHR is controlled by the equipment and can not be adjusted by user. If the FHR result is distrustful, please use other methods such as stethoscope to verify immediately or contact local distributor or manufacture to get help.

 

Cleaning

Before cleaning, switch off the power and take out the batteries. Keep the outside surface of the device clean and free of dust and dirt, and clean exterior surface of the chassis with a dry, soft cloth. If necessary, clean the chassis with a soft cloth soaked in a solution of soap or water, and wipe dry with a clean cloth immediately.

1. Don’t use strong solvent, such as acetone.

2. Never use an abrasive such as steel wool or metal polish.

3. Do not allow any liquid to enter the product, and do not immerse any parts of the device into any liquids.

4. Avoid pouring liquids on the device while cleaning.

5. Don’t remain any cleaning solution on the surface of the device.

Chapter 10 Small Tips

Essentially of Fetal Monitor: Modem medicine think that, FUR is an important gist to identify fetal health, by recording FHR changes can observe fetal hypoxia, fetal distress and the umbilical cord around the neck, and other symptoms. Fetal monitor inspect FHR rate changes by listening to fetal heart sound mainly; Fetal monitor is a powerful guarantee to improve generational safety. Fetal heart rate changes most obviously in the following three periods:

1. Within 30 minutes after pregnant women get up

2. Within 60 minutes after pregnant women finish lunch

3. Within 30 minutes before pregnant women go to bed

For the above three periods, because of the change of the fetus status of pregnant women, the activity of food digesting needs the fetus to provide more oxygen, relatively, the oxygen for fetus become less. It is easy to arose symptoms such as fetus anoxia. Testing the FF1R at this time can display the healthy status for the fetus best. The above three periods can only be tested by pregnant women themselves, so FFIR domestic monitor is very important. This Baby Sound A/В can be used to detect heart sound for fetus above 12 weeks, and calculate the FHR with fetal heart sound. You can detect the fetal heart sound for 1 -2 minutes every time. Pregnant women can take down the record data which can be a reference for doctors to insure the health of the fetus.

 

Annex

Environmental conditions necessary for the correct operation of the device:

 

- The Pocket Fetal Doppler(Baby Sound) uses RF energy only for its internal function. Therefore, its RF emissions are very low and are not likely interference in nearby electronic equipment;

 

- The Pocket Fetal Doppler(Baby Sound) is suitable for use in all establishments;

 

- Floors should be wood, concrete or ceramic tile. If floor are covered with synthetic material, the relative humidity should be at least 30%;

 

- Power frequency magnetic fields should be at levels characteristic of a typical location in a typical commercial environment:

 

- Interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment marked with the following symbol: («i»);

 

- If abnormal performance is observed, additional measures may be necessary, such as reorienting or relocating the Pocket Fetal Doppler(Baby Sound).

Глава 2: Введение

Карманный фетальный Doppler является прибором для обнаружения сердцебиения плода. Прибор специально разработан для ежедневного контроля сердечного ритма плода в домашних условиях. Беременные используют устройство самостоятельно с целью услышать сердцебиение плода и зарегистрировать цифровое значение. Существует 2 модели прибора: А и В. Модель А служит для простой аускультации (выслушивания сердцебиения). Модель В снабжена также жидкокристаллическим дисплеем. Обе модели используют частоту 2МГц. Прибор имеет емкость для сменных батарей, снабжен аудио выходом. Устройство может быть подключено к компьютеру. Сердцебиение плода может быть записано на компакт-диск или иное электронное устройство и передано по Сети членам семьи и друзьям, если они не рядом с Вами.

Основные характеристики:

1. Прибор и основные составляющие полностью совместимы друг с другом.

2. Устройство имеет компактный дизайн, удобный для портативного использования.

3. Имеется 2 разъема для наушников, что позволяет обоим родителям одно временно слышать сердцебиение будущего ребенка.

4. Допплеровский датчик имеет высокую чувствительность.

5. В приборе используется низкая интенсивность ультразвука (намного ниже относительно стандартов, что характеризуется высоким качеством безопасности).

6. Низкая потребляемая мощность при наличии 2 батареек размера ААА позволяет пользоваться устройством более 8 часов (в зависимости от типа батареек и их мощности).

7. Устройство может быть подключено к компьютеру или рекордеру для записи звука сердцебиения плода.

8. Жидкокристаллический дисплей характеризуется высокой точностью (модель В).

9. Экран блокируется автоматически, если нет сигнала, что очень удобно для беременных в индивидуальном режиме работы (модель В).

Глава 7: Обслуживание

Устройство должно использоваться с осторожностью. После использования панель должна быть очищена от геля сухой салфеткой. Эти меры предосторожности продлят срок службы устройства. Пользователь должен проверить, что оборудование не имеет видимых повреждений, которые могут повлиять на безопасность пациента. Рекомендуемый интервал осмотра прибора - один раз в месяц или чаще. При наличии явных повреждений, следует произвести ремонт. Устройство должно периодически проходить испытания на безопасность, чтобы обеспечить правильную изоляцию пациента от токов утечки. Рекомендуемый интервал тестирования – 1 раз в 2 года или как указано в протоколе испытания и проверки учреждения. Точность регистрации сердцебиения управляется автоматически и не может изменена пользователем. Если результат регистрации сердцебиения плода кажется вам недостоверным, или Вы не можете зарегистрировать сердцебиение плода, то используйте другие методы, такие как стетоскоп, чтобы убедиться в наличии сердцебиения плода немедленно или свяжитесь со своим врачом для консультирования.

 

Глава 10: полезные советы

В основном, фетальные мониторы используются для выявления проблем внутриутробного состояния плода, таких как гипоксия плода, дистресс плода, обвитие пуповины вокруг шеи и другие симптомы. Фетальный монитор позволяет регистрировать сердцебиение плода, что является современным безопасным методом пренатальной верификации наличия сердечной деятельности. Имеются, однако, некоторые особенности физиологического изменения частоты сердечных сокращений плода. Наиболее частые эмбриональные изменения частоты сердечных сокращений укладываются в 3 периода:

1. В течение 30 минут после пробуждения беременной

2. В течение 60 минут после основного приема пищи

3. В течение 30 минут до сна

 

Например, для переваривания пищи требуется большее количество энергии, поэтому в этот период плод получает меньше кислорода. Может развиться фетальная аноксия, что скажется на показателях сердцебиения плода. Данные периоды могут быть проверены индивидуально каждой беременной для определения наилучшего времени для тестирования сердцебиения плода. Модель В может использоваться для регистрации сердцебиения плода начиная с 12 недель беременности. Длительность регистрации 1-2 минуты. Записанные на электронный носитель данные могут быть просмотрены Вашим врачом для более детального консультирования по вопросам состояния Вашего ребенка.

Условия окружающей среды необходимые для корректной работы устройства:

 

- Карманный фетальный допплер (Baby Sound) использует радиочастотную энергию только для своих внутренних функции. Таким образом, его радиоизлучение очень низкое и не влияет на работу близлежащего электронного оборудования;

 

- Карманный фетальный допплер (Baby Sound) подходит для использования в любых учреждениях

 

- Полы должны быть деревянные, бетонные или из керамической плитки. Если пол покрыт синтетическим материалом, относительная влажность не должна быть менее 30%.

 

- Электромагнитные поля должны быть на уровне, характерном для типичного расположения в промышленной окружающей среде;

 

- Помехи могут возникать в непосредственной близости от оборудования, обозначенного следующим символом: («i»)

 

- Если Вы заметили нарушения в работе устройства, могут быть необходимы дополнительные меры, например, переориентация или перемещение устройства (Baby Sound).
