Things to Remember While on an Eco-tour

 

There are several books that guide you with tips for venturing on eco-vacations. I have listed five prominent tips that I think are most important.

· Respect the ______________ and ___________ of the places that you visit. Make sure to __________ appropriately so as to avoid disrespecting the local people.

It’s worth mentioning that the tourism industry says it is world's largest growth sector, generating badly needed jobs and income in poorer countries. But Pope John Paul II has branded mass tourism the new form of exploitation and dismissed tourist villages as places where visitors lack "any real contact with the culture of the place". Others add that mass tourism has a negative impact on local cultures and environments and say the locals rarely benefit from the earnings.
