For most people, this process ends when they are in their mid-to-late teens. For others, however, it is the beginning of a lifetime of learning. Our schooldays are just the beginning of this process, and we should make the best of every (22) _____ to develop ourselves, whether we are eighteen or eighty. You are, indeed, never too old to learn.

MINI TEXTS FOR TRANSLATION

1) In order that people may be happy in their work, thesethree things are needed: they must be fit for it; they must not do top much of it; and they must have a sense of success in it. As a teacher there's a lot that you can do to ease the stresses felt by your pupils. Simply being receptive and listening to their concerns is a huge help, but there are a few factors to be aware of should a pupil confide in you. 1) Listening and counselling are crucial roles of teachers as tutors. Knowing how to listen is an essential skill. Pupils may simply want to tell you what's going on in their lives without you 'problem solving' or attempting to make changes. At other times, however, they may need you to act in their defence and take control of a situation. Knowing the difference is key. 2) Trust is perhaps the most significant dimension of any interaction between a pupil and their teacher. Children must know that there's nothing they can tell you that will shock or faze you. Whatever the issue, you need to be able to 'hold' it for them until they can find a way of dealing with it, invariably with your help.

2) Good classroom and behaviour management is essential for any lesson to run smoothly. Knowing how to anticipate and manage problems will allow to ensure that students spend maximum time on task. For a lesson to run smoothly you need to establish and reinforce clear rules and procedures from the start. It’s better to stick to a small number of clearly understood and consistently enforced rules ratherthan a large number of regulations which will be harder to enforce.

Using real life experience and materials helps students to remeber what they have learnt at school. Homework, should be mademore relevant to students by connecting what they have learnt in the classfoom to their everyday life.

3) Homework does not have to be a solitary activity. Cooperative research assignments or tasks whose completion requires two or more students to work together should also be practiced.

We struggle so hard to fill children's brains, but seldom bother to edacate their hearts. Our system of education should not only focus on a child's academic achievement, but also prepare children for the lifelong teaming process, based on deepinsight, it should tap children's unexplored capabilities, teach them how to get along with others and, even more importantly, how to get along with oneself, how to acquire balance and lead a positive, healthy and harmonious family life, it should give kids the tools and understanding to make right choices and achieve a real success in life.
